Hello and Happy Friday!! I hope your week is moving right along as stress-free as possible. I can’t believe it’s already August. Wow! Summer will be over before we know it.
It’s still hotter than ever outside, and I don’t know about you , but I still want more time to lounge by the pool, and my mind wants to stay in vacation mode. #alldayerday Getting dressed is something I want to do in a flash, without having to put a lot of thought into it. Summer dresses and skirts keep you cool, but still look stylish without much effort. A lot of stores are beginning to move in their fall merchandise. I am trying to hang on to summer as long as I can. I love the longer days, fresh fruits and veggies, and especially the summer fashion.
This paisley maxi skirt and button-down sleeveless top are far from basic. I love the pop of color the shirt gives, and this paisley skirt easily matches with many colors. I wore heels to dress this skirt up a bit, but you could certainly wear flats or a low heeled slide and still look great.
Wearing a ponytail is definitely a cooler way to wear your hair on hot summer days. I prefer to wear my hair down more-so than up, but on a summer day, it’s nice to have options.
This skirt is super comfortable, and has a slit on the left side that gives it a sexy look, but isn’t too revealing. It is as easy to style as any dress, and black and white are always in season. Right now, it’s 50% off at Loft. I know I will be wearing this one not only this summer, but next summer as well. I love finding things at the end of the season that I can wear now, and next year, in their almost new condition.

I used to live in a tank top and shorts during the summer. I called it my summer uniform. While sometimes the day still calls for shorts and a tank top, I am wearing summer dresses a whole lot more lately. I really love that you can dress them up or down.
