I have a regular day job with the government. I tell people it’s my boring, serious job, and blogging is my fun job. I love to style outfits. I love to show affordable ways to dress up. And I really love to show women that just because you are older doesn’t mean you can’t be stylish and confident. I love to connect with people of all ages. I find that when women support each other, it boosts our confidence and we all come out winners.
I’m always looking for affordable outfits, quick and effective workout routines, or the latest makeup or skin care finds at the makeup counter. I also love to try healthy recipes. I am a chocolate, coffee and wine lover, decorator wannabe and I love the beach. I share a little of all of this on the blog and also on my Instagram feed at Monicasmixx.
I also love bright colors. They just make me happy. I especially love pink and show it in a lot of my outfits. #ihavethisthingwithpink I strive for balance in fitness, diet and health with a never ending hunger for good Mexican food–because, who doesn’t love a good taco?? Honestly, I believe life is all about finding balance. And I am learning more and more to live in the moment. #imaworkinprogress
My husband is my biggest supporter. He is the typical Instagram husband. He often says he is going to start a support group! He also keeps asking where his residuals are?! 🙂 I am so happy to have his support and could not do this without him.
